Sean was hired by BTIG at the end of 2013 to begin building the firm's healthcare franchise from scratch. While his precise focus was medical devices and diagnostics he helped with all of healthcare. Sean remained at BTIG until November of 2019 though his influence on the firm and its success within healthcare may have continued since his departure.
Since 2014 BTIG has participated in over $14B in raises for medical device and diagnostics companies, which are listed here, and over $25B in all healthcare (available by request).
Before arriving at BTIG, Sean was hired by Lazard Capital Markets in late 2007. Almost immediately transactions followed.
Before moving to Lazard, Sean spent his first Wall Street year at Oppenheimer and Co. Even in this short time, Sean had a strong influence on transactions being completed at the firm.
